Northwest Nazarene University’s Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership lead to licensure in the state of Idaho and are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Because of recipricol agreements made between states via the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC), these administrative licensures are very "portable" to other states and U.S. territories.

A core piece of advice offered on the NASDTEC website is worth repeating: "One important guideline is that reciprocity is always easier if a student completes the certification requirements and obtains a teaching credential in [Idaho] before applying for certification in another state."
